Merry Christmas and Welcome to My Darling Honeys Christmas 2024 Guide. My name is Danielle and I am a wife and mother that is completely obsessed with Christmas. I've always had such a passion for the holidays and since having my 3 kids, Skylar, Harvey and Connor, the magic and the traditions became bigger and more real than I could have ever imagined.
I know how stressful of a time this year can be and as a mum we all try our best to create such a magical time and space for our families. I decided to create this guide as a hope that it can help many mum/dads and families in the lead up to Christmas with many festive ideas, links, downloads and much more without you having to put your mind in overdrive during this magical season.

- Start a notepad in your phone, write lists and ideas each time you think of something for each person you buy for
- Plan your Elf On The Shelf BEFORE Dec 1 (yes, we have all gotten to bed time and had to think of last minute ideas)
- Plan your Dec 1 Box
- Put up your Christmas Tree
- Get your matching family PJ's
- Book in your Santa Photo
- Get your Wrapping Paper
- Stock up on Batteries (you don't want to be searching around on Christmas morning)
- plan Christmas activities/crafts for the kids on the school holidays

More Lists

write a list of ideas for every person that you need to buy for., Go back into it everytime you think of something
Stick to Your Budget
Write a list in the notepad of your phone with every person and item you have purchased with the price next to it. This is a great way to always have your total cost/expenditure on you
Google / Research
do your research! Does somewhere else have it on sale or cheaper? I will do this for pretty much any toy that comes from the bigger department stores, Kmart, Big W, Target as i find that they are not always the same price!
Keep and eye on store wide and indivdual item sales. Alot of stores and businesses will have sales in the lead up to Christmas. Also using shopback/afterpay you can also score yourself some extra discount and cashback

Be Practicale
its so easy to get caught up in the excitement of Christmas and all the new bits and pieces that get released. Try to stick with items that you know will be used and appreciated
How To Decorate Your Tree

set up your tree, put all the branches on
stretch out and fluff your branches
put on your lights (I do the wrap every
branch method to create a fuller and brighter look, see my christmas light guide) Note: when buying lights, you will need approximately 100-200 lights per foot of your tree

start with your larger baubles first. Use your smaller ones at the end to fill the gaps. Remember to evenly place them around your tree and
it's OK if you step back 10,000 times to check your view (good way to get your steps up) TIP: Using ornament hooks creates a neater display

start from the top and go down and up

weave the lights over and under the branches

Christmas Punch
Ingredients:
1x Packet of Tim Tam's
80g Cream Cheese
Optional choice of Rum
Step 1 /

crush Tim Tam's in a bowl or food processor until
they are fine crumbs
mix in cream cheese until mixed in well
Roll into small balls
either leave as if or dust with cocoa / coconut / dip in chocolate
